When fourteen year old Maria Mendoza pulls a strange glowing necklace from a flooded creek after a violent storm, she doesn’t realize what she has awakened or the danger she has just unleashed.
 
By the end of the day, everyone in their small Pacific Northwest town is asleep. Parents collapse where they stood. Teachers slump at their desks. Neighbors lie motionless in their yards.
 
Only Maria, Malik, Jake, and Layla remain awake.
 
As the silence spreads, the four friends are pulled into a race to understand the force rising around them and survive long enough to stop it.
 
Armed with mysterious artifacts, limited snacks, and a “borrowed” RV, they must outrun possessed classmates, uncover ancient secrets, and evade a secret society determined to keep the truth buried.
 
But answers come at a cost. With no adults left to help them and no time to rest, the four are forced into choices that test their courage and their limits.
